Sesay, born in Sierra Leone, West Africa, started singing with his church, eventually leading him to play guitar. His songs are inspired by Bob Marley and Kendrick Lamar and their pain and messages of freeing their mind from mental slavery and being confined to one genre.
Shahidi, a black American artist originally from Minneapolis, will captivate the audience with his soulful acoustic guitar melodies and collaborative storytelling that transcends boundaries, uniting Black communities in the Twin Cities through his music.
Between sets, DJ Sole2dotz, a Midwest-born and bred artist, will take you on a musical journey through various landscapes, providing a diverse range of sounds that will keep the energy high throughout the evening.
